The generated date is when coverage was at the figures quoted. There is a small amount of lag between broadband infrastructure providers making services available and appearing in the statistics. For VDSL2/FTTC services this is around 2 to 4 weeks, and for FTTP (full fibre) a further couple of weeks should be allowed. If you have a service available and our searches do not indicate it is do feel free to report an addition.
We aim to update the coverage percentages weekly, with the underlying service availability for postcode searches changing several times in a week.
The Governments 95% superfast target is based on the over 24 Mbps definition for superfast services.
The Open Market Review (OMR) layer is based on the Building Digital UK Open data from the rolling Open Market Review in England and Wales.
In Scotland the data is from the Scottish Government at Gigabit in Scotland review.
The map features our standard zoom layers, but at high resolutions (zoom level 16 and 17) the map is interactive allowing people to see what local authority and which project lot an address falls within.

The main map layer from each release is preserved, so people can visualize the change over time in their area. The current interactive data set is from January 2026 and was released as Open Data in June 2026. The next set should be appear in September/October 2026 and be based on the May 2026 OMR.
As the reviews are ongoing and plans and rollouts are always subject to change, a grey/black status does not guarantee full fibre or Gigabit will be available by January 2029.
