Map layers are updated individually over the course of every month.
Screen shots can be shared so long as the attribution section in the bottom right of the map is included in any screen shot and thinkbroadband is credited.
Commercial use of map tiles requires a prior agreement.
Coloured dots in the map layers refer to postcodes and for availability reflect what the majority of premises should be able to get. When viewing address (UPRN) resolution layers each dot is an address.

    National Superfast Picture

    Superfast 30 Mbps and faster

    Generated: Monday 24th March 2025

    UK 98.3%
    England 98.4%
    Northern Ireland 98.7%
    Scotland 96.9%
    Wales 97.7%

Full Fibre - Fibre to the Premises

    Generated: Monday 24th March 2025

    UK 76.0%
    England 76.1%
    Northern Ireland 96.2%
    Scotland 68.2%
    Wales 76.6%

The generated date is when coverage was at the figures quoted. There is a small amount of lag between broadband infrastructure providers making services available and appearing in the statistics. For VDSL2/FTTC services this is around 2 to 4 weeks, and for FTTP (full fibre) a further couple of weeks should be allowed. If you have a service available and our searches do not indicate it is do feel free to report an addition.

We aim to update the coverage percentages weekly, with the underlying service availability for postcode searches changing several times in a week.

The Governments 95% superfast target is based on the over 24 Mbps definition for superfast services.

Notes on Project Gigabit National Rolling Open Market Review (OMR)

The Open Market Review (OMR) layer is based on the Building Digital UK Open data from the rolling Open Market Review in England and Wales.

In Scotland the data is from the Scottish Government at Gigabit in Scotland review.

The map features our standard zoom layers, but at high resolutions (zoom level 16 and 17) the map is interactive allowing people to see what local authority and which project lot an address falls within.

Addresses in the OMR Review have three possible states:

    • Grey/Black: Shown as a grey dot - Address already has access to a Gigabit broadband option or one is planned commercially in the next 3 years. So if you don't have Gigabit or full fibre available yet, a grey spot for your address/uprn indicates its likely on the way.
    • Under Review: Shown as a blue dot - Address has had suppliers report current or planned commercial broadband coverage but has not been verified OR there are some risks to delivery.
    • White: Shown as a yellow dot - No Gigabit options available and none was expected at the time of the ORM review for 3 years. These addresses are those most lilely to be delivered via Project Gigabit. A yellow dot is used as a white dot was too hard to spot on the maps.

The data as we've published in February 2025 (March 2025 for Scotland) is based on the September 2024 OMR submissions in England and Wales or August 2024 for Scotland, reviews take place January, May and September of each year and we will update the data when changes are published.

As the reviews are ongoing and plans and rollouts are always subject to change, a grey/black status does not guarantee full fibre or Gigabit will be available by 2027.
